Here We Grow Daycare All children are treated with love and respect and provided with the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of activities.

If given the opportunity, I will provide your child with a fun, safe, clean, nurturing, and loving environment, in which your child will feel loved and valued. We currently enroll children from ages (6 weeks - 12 years ). Hours are Monday thru Fridays from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m, providing breakfast, lunch and nutritious snacks throughout the day. There is a structured schedule in place to provide the children with a daily routine including inside/outside activities. I am conveniently located minutes away from Colonie Center in the South Colonie area. Benefits of my program include:

I have several years experience in meeting the emotional needs of children as they continue to grow and develop socially, mentally and physically. I believe that young children learn through play as well as socialization. I encourage children to explore the many different activities at their own pace. I continue to help support children develop their curiosity and creativity, which are valuable skills that will help them throughout their everyday lives. Features of my program include:

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
NYS Certified
Certified in Pediatric/Child CPR and First Aid
Complete required continuing education courses yearly
Non-smoking home
Limited enrollment to ensure each child receives the highest quality of care

🍂🎃 October Reminders & Important Updates! 🎃

Hello, Families! ❤️

We have a few important reminders and updates to share as we make our way through October!

🍁 Seasonal Clothing Changes

Throughout this week, we will be sending home all bathing suits, towels, and warmer-weather clothing.

We ask that you please replace your child's summer clothing with cooler-weather attire and return the items in the same gallon-sized Ziploc bag.

Please make sure your child has appropriate spare clothing for the cooler temperatures ahead!

👻 Annual Halloween Party – Friday, October 30th! 🎃

We are excited to celebrate Halloween with our annual daycare Halloween party on Friday, October 30th, during the morning hours, in place of our regular outdoor playtime! Please bring your child's costume in a labeled bag.

Any families who would like to send in a special treat to share with the children are more than welcome to do so!

Please note that we have a child in care with a peanut allergy, so we kindly ask that all treats be peanut-free and that ingredient labels be checked carefully to help keep everyone safe. ❤️

🤧 Important Illness Reminder – Rhinovirus

I was recently informed by one of our daycare families that their child was hospitalized and diagnosed with Rhinovirus, a common respiratory virus that can cause cold-like symptoms.

While Rhinovirus may present as a typical cold in many older, otherwise healthy children, it can sometimes cause more serious illness in younger children, particularly infants and those with more vulnerable immune systems.

With this in mind, we want to remind everyone how important it is to keep your child home when they are not feeling well.

Please refer back to our most recent illness-related post for additional reminders regarding when children should remain home.

Our goal is always to provide a happy, healthy, and safe environment for ALL of the children in our care. We truly appreciate everyone's understanding, cooperation, and consideration for the other children and families. ❤️

🚒🔥 What an exciting morning at Here We Grow Daycare! 🔥🚒

We want to give a HUGE thank you to the Village of Colonie Fire Department for taking time out of their busy day to visit our daycare and teach the children all about fire safety! ❤️

The kids had such a wonderful time learning important fire safety tips and getting to spend time with a few of our local firefighters! 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒

We are so grateful for everything you do to keep our community safe and for making this such a fun, educational, and memorable experience for our little ones!

We are SO excited to officially welcome Oliver to our Here We Grow Daycare family! 🥰

Oliver has had an amazing first couple of weeks with us, and each day we get to see more and more of his sweet and fun personality shine through! 🌟

He absolutely LOVES spending time with his new friends and is always ready to share some extra hugs with everyone! 🤗💕 He has already brought so many smiles and so much love to our daycare family!

We are beyond happy to have Oliver join us and cannot wait to watch him learn, grow, make memories, and build lasting friendships along the way! 🌱❤️

🔥🚒 Fire Prevention Week is Coming! 🚒🔥
October 4–10, 2026

Protecting the health, safety, and well-being of our children is one of the most important responsibilities we have at Here We Grow Daycare. ❤️

Fire Prevention Week is a great opportunity to focus on fire safety education, review important fire prevention practices, and help teach our little ones how to stay safe in a way that is fun and age-appropriate.

🚨 SPECIAL FIRE DEPARTMENT VISIT! 🚨

📅 Friday, October 9th
⏰ 9:30 AM

We are so excited to welcome the Village of Colonie Fire Department for their annual visit! 🚒👨‍🚒

The firefighters will talk with the children about the importance of fire safety, show them the fire truck, and give the kids an opportunity to climb aboard and check it out — always one of their favorite parts of the visit! ❤️🚒

🌤️ Please note: This event will take place outside, so please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather that morning.

⏰ IMPORTANT ARRIVAL REMINDER:
Please have your child arrive no later than 8:45 AM on Friday so we have plenty of time to get everyone settled and ready before the firefighters arrive.

We cannot thank the Village of Colonie Fire Department enough for taking time out of their day each year to visit our daycare, educate our children, and make this such a fun and memorable experience. We truly appreciate everything they do for our community! ❤️🚒🔥

Daycare Families – Illness Update ❤️

We wanted to make everyone aware that some type of virus appears to have made its way through daycare toward the end of last week. Not every child has developed a fever, but we have received reports of similar symptoms, including sore throat, decreased/lack of appetite, stuffy or runny nose, and possible cough.

At this time, we are not aware of any children who have been seen and received a specific diagnosis, so we can only go by the symptoms families have reported to us.

If your child is not acting like themselves, is not eating normally, or is beginning to show signs of illness, please keep them home. Even without a fever, these symptoms may be the beginning of or part of an illness. Keeping your child home gives them the opportunity to rest and fully recover while also helping prevent the spread of illness to the other children and families in our care.

We completely understand how difficult and inconvenient it can be to keep a child home and miss work. However, we need everyone to be considerate of all of the children and families here. When children attend while they are not feeling well, illnesses can spread very quickly throughout the group.

We hope all of our kiddos who aren't feeling well get plenty of rest and feel better very soon! 💕

We are off to another exciting week at Here We Grow Daycare, and our little family just keeps growing! ❤️

This week, we are so happy to welcome Crew, Reese, and Adalaide “Ada” to our daycare family! 🥰 Each of them had such an amazing start, and we are already loving getting to know their sweet personalities.

Of course, while we are always busy playing, learning, laughing, and having SO much fun, getting everyone to stop long enough for a good picture might just be the hardest part of the job! 😂📸

We are so excited to have these three new friends join our growing family and cannot wait to see what adventures, friendships, milestones, and memories this year brings. 💕🌱

🎉🚚 Today we celebrated our amazing, truck-loving and definitely cupcake-loving Bobby’s 4th birthday! 🧁💙
