News worth celebrating, Colonial Heights! 🎉

All five CHPS schools are fully accredited​! On ​the Virginia School Performance and Support Framework (SPSF) all ​five schools improved their overall score from last year. Three schools earned the highest rating of ​Distinguished​, and two schools earned the second highest rating, ​Meets Expectations​. All five schools met all federal standards.

These results reflect the hard work happening in our classrooms every day. To our students and every ​s​taff member, thank you! Your dedication, determination, and commitment to learning made this achievement possible.

🎨✨ The Little Free Art Gallery is Restocked & Ready! ✨🎨

The Little Free Art Gallery at Colonial Heights Middle School has gotten a fresh new look and is once again fully stocked with artwork for our community to enjoy!

A special thank you to Mr. Rick Ridpath for continuing to lead this wonderful community project, CTE teacher Mr. Dustin Coleman for giving the gallery its beautiful refresh, and Carraway Glass for generously donating the new acrylic glass.

Congratulations to CHMS science teacher Ms. Brittany Bandy, recipient of the 2026 Distinguished Middle School Science Teacher Award from the Virginia Section of the American Chemical Society!

At last week’s School Board meeting, we were proud to recognize two outstanding CHHS students as our Seniors of the Month!

Congratulations to these students on this well-deserved recognition! We are proud to celebrate their accomplishments and the wonderful way they represent CHHS and our Colonial community. 💙

🏈💙 Tonight’s the Night — Elementary Football Night! ❤️🏈

Join us tonight at 7:00 PM at the Colonial Heights Athletic Stadium for one of our favorite CHPS traditions!

CHPS elementary students receive free admission with a paying adult. At halftime, students from Tussing, North, and Lakeview will take a proud lap around the track to represent their schools! 👏

❤️💙 Break out those school colors and mascot gear, and come help us fill the stadium with Colonial Pride!

We can’t wait to see our students, families, and community under the Friday night lights! ✨🏈
