The end of another week brings photos some of our latest framing jobs!
Trish made one couple happy with their “new-to-them” statement pieces purchased from an online seller. They knew the art was what the room needed, but they ALSO knew the pictures needed help! We chose a simple black mat to cover the majority of the old matting (yes, it appears to be hand-painted latex)
That’s BEFORE and AFTER!

Went old-school for this newspaper article for another client.

And some military pieces as well—sewing medals in place for a retirement.
Including a before/after of the plane from last week as well.
Looking forward to seeing you bring us something you have to frame!

Here’s another sublimation piece we finished today that turned out super awesome 🤩 The customer was very pleased! Now that we are back under “new (old) ownership” customer service is our #1 priority!

Remodeling Update.
Little by little things are coming along. This is one of our downstairs work areas that we are renovating. The carpet gets installed in a little over a week from now. We’ve still need to finish painting and drywall repairs before then. This workroom will be the main production area for the signage and embroidery departments. This area also includes a kitchen, two bathrooms, a multi-use room, utility room and office.

Once this area is completed, we will move in to the other side of the downstairs work areas, also referred to the basement. In that area we have out trophy cutting room, picture frame molding storage and cutting area, textile room (screen printing and direct to garment printer) and our woodworking shop.

Did you know The Awards & Frame Company has over 6,000 square feet of space? We even have an elevator. Most people have no idea how much space we have for the business. We use every square inch of it too.

Closing in on the end of another week, and custom framing is getting more and more pulled together! We’ve gotten in dozens of new and exciting frame samples, new mats and more on the way!
Bring in your latest painting, photo, needlework other art for us to turn into a masterpiece!
Took this old WW2 photo apart and and will be preserving it for another generation.

Our embroidery department will soon be up and running. After several hours of needed maintenance and repairs on our machine, we finally got it working. Stay tuned for more.

Company Update
We are now into week 10 of the rebirth of The Awards & Frame Company. While things are definitely going a bit slower than we had hoped, we are making constant progress towards a complete and total overhaul of the business.

Our framing department is back up and running. If fact, we have new framing orders coming in almost every day now. In the next few weeks we will be adding dozens of new molding samples and new display pieces to highlight our capabilities.

On the awards side of the house we have added a wide variety of new items including several unique items for churches and many new military and first responder items. We are busy building back up our inventory that will allow us to have incredibly quick turn around times.

Our apparel department is also getting closer every day to being fully operational. We’ve encountered some delays due to equipment issues but we are working through those as fast as we can. Our Direct to Garment printing will be up and running soon followed by our screen printing and embroidery equipment.

Did you know that The Awards & Frame Company is also a full service sign shop? From indoor / outdoor signs, banners, decals, posters, etc. we do it all. That department is also slowly but surely coming back online. We will be making banners later this week and then getting the rest of the processes back in place. We have at least one or two pieces of equipment that we have to replace before we will be making all of the sign products that we used to produce.

Our promotional products division is now up and running as well. We have two promotional products account managers that have joined our team and are in the process of getting up and running.

Speaking of up and running…. We now have a website again! For years, we had a website, www.theawardshop.com that we used to help serve our customers. That site has not been running for years until now. While it is up and running, it is far from complete. New content is being added almost daily. In fact, today we added a page about challenge coins. We will post updates about the site as more progress is made.

More framed pieces up in the showroom for inspiration! We can preserve a fabric memory, like sewing this tiny quilt to a mat and add the perfect frame, or design a frame and mat combination for a photograph that you love!
