The Colome FFA Chapter invites all current FFA members, their families, local businesses, school staff, and community supporters to join us for our annual Chapter Banquet on Friday, April 25th. We will also have a silent auction that will begin at 6 PM and close at the end of the banquet.

Formal invitations have been sent home with each FFA member, and we kindly ask that you RSVP by April 22nd so we can ensure an accurate dinner count for all guests.

We look forward to celebrating this year’s accomplishments, recognizing our degree recipients, and installing the 2025–2026 officer team. We hope you’ll join us for this special evening to celebrate a wonderful group of kids!

State FFA Convention 2025 has ended and our qualifiers competed well. I’m so proud of how they have improved over the course of the season and look forward to next year’s CDEs already!

Day 1 of convention started off with the Floriculture team, Raelynn Kingsley, Gracie Rohde, and Tenlie Rohde competing, while other kiddos helped with a service learning project for Meals of Hope. Then, in the afternoon Emme Nelsen competed in Veterinary Science and later met up with the chapter at the SDSU Dairy Bar after we toured their Dairy Plant.

On day 2 students walked through the career carnival, attended numerous different workshops, worked on another service learning project, and went to the second and third general sessions of the convention.

Day 3 was met with an early morning as students attended the fourth and final general session of convention. Here we got to find out how they did in their competitions! Results are as follows:

Floriculture Team, 11th out of 59

- Raelynn was a Top 10 Individual and got to
receive a state pin on stage.

Very proud of these kids and how they keep showing up to compete from week to week! Here are some of the results from their adventures the past two weeks!

🌟On Monday, March 10th the Colome FFA chapter participated in the Howard CDE Invitational. This was the students first practice competition and they did very well.🌟

🌟Yesterday, March 17th the kids were back on the road. This time to participate in the Tri-Valley CDE Contest. This was their first time competing at Tri-Valley’s contest and many of them improved their scores from the week before!🌟

💥Final Week for Fruit Sales!💥

Students are wrapping up their fruit sales this week to ensure delivery between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

💥The LAST DAY to order is, Wednesday, November 5th!💥

If you have been waiting to buy fruit from a student, but they haven’t found you yet, message our page and Mrs. Schoenefeld will send one your way!

Last few days in Indy were a whirlwind of fun!

Thursday night, students attended the Three Hills Rodeo. They got to enjoy an action pack night of rodeo performances sitting right behind the chutes!

Friday morning we were up early and headed to the stadium for the 4th General Session. There students got to see professor, best-selling author, animal behaviorist, and autism self-advocate, Temple Grandin!

Later that day students enjoyed a fun filled afternoon at Beasley’s Apple Orchard where they could enjoy a corn maze, hay rack rides, pumpkin launchers, games, and shopping! They also had delicious snacks to enjoy!

Finally, students ended the night at Royal Pin Entertainment for bowling, laser tag, and arcade games!

This afternoon students got to tour the Indianapolis Speedway where the Indy 500 takes place each year in May. 🏎️🏁🏆
