Hello members of the Class of 2001. As many of you have seen, we lost our classmate Michael Green over the weekend. We plan to do something to recognize him on behalf of our class. If anyone is interested in donating, please reach out to Christin Adams or Brian Calloway.

Ways we have discussed is giving to the kidney foundation per the request of his family or purchasing a floral arrangement, depending on how many people would like to give something.

For those wondering about services for Michael, they will take place Friday, March 8 at Refreshing Fountain, which is located at 175 S. Euclid Ave. in Benton Harbor. The viewing is at 11 a.m. and the service will follow at noon.

Additional updates for Saturday’s reunion at The Waterfront.

Appetizers will be available between 7 and 8 p.m. They are scheduled placed out right at 7 p.m.

Anyone that would like to place a dinner order should do it between 7 and 8:30 p.m. This will ensure that the kitchen can take care of us in a timely manner.

A reminder that those planning to come should submit their payments by the end of the day Friday. Please let us know if you intend to come and will be paying on the spot.

REUNION UPDATE:

We are a few days away from our reunion. Here is the latest:

Due to not enough confirmed riders, we unfortunately have had to cancel the cruise portion of the reunion that was scheduled to start at 4:30.

We now will only be gathering at The Waterfront. That will start at 7 p.m. Saturday. Please pay your money ahead of time if possible. The cost is $15.40 per person and payments can be sent to our class Venmo account (https://venmo.com/u/colomahs2001).

Stay tuned to this page for any additional updates. We know the world is an ever-changing place due to COVID and businesses at times closing due to being short-staffed or dealing with cases. Any changes will be posted to this page.

We are just over a month away from our 20-year class reunion. With that, we also will need to get an idea of who is coming.

We have created two separate events for both the boat cruise and the gathering at The Waterfront. Please indicate if you will be attending by August 6. We will be accepting payments via Venmo . Details on costs are included in each event.

Here are a few more details about our 20-year class reunion that will take place August 28.

The second part of our reunion will take place at The Waterfront in Coloma. The gathering there will start at 7/7:30 p.m. and go until whenever.

That will follow the Lake Michigan cruise with Harbor Country Adventures, which is scheduled to take place from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. We will be docking from their Michigan City spot, which is located at Millenium Plaza. Address for parking is 1 Washington St., Michigan City. The price for this portion should be roughly $58 per person. The price includes the cruise plus drinks (assorted beers and wine, soft drinks and juices). The per person price could go down depending on how many people commit to the cruise.
