Thursday morning at the Elementary was one of our favorites of the year... our friends from the high school took the bus to Zearing to spend the day with us. They taught us cheers for Homecoming and we taught them a dance that we do. Our friends had lunch with us and played with us at recess. It was a big day for our high school friends, and we thank them for making time for us!

Colo-NESCO students and staff participated in a Safety Day last Friday during Homecoming week. We would like to thank the National Guard, Story County Sheriff Department, Colo Fire Department, Mary Greeley Medical Center, Jamie Vink, Ken Leighty, Kara Kinser, Jackie Dunlap and Kelsie Engelken for providing safety lessons!

We were informed last Friday that Meskwaki has cancelled their varsity football season! That game will count as a forfeit district win for the Royals. We were able to pick up a new team to play and hold our senior night as scheduled. We will now play Stanton/Essex on October 2nd in place of Meskwaki. Due to the long trip, Stanton/Essex has requested to start the game at 6:00 pm. Because of this the game on October 2nd will now start at 6:00 pm with senior night to start before the game. All changes are updated on bound.

Our Homecoming Week was busy at the Elementary as well... Here are just a few of the many great ensembles and getups that walked through our doors the last five days! Our students LOVE the senior citizens in our lives and that showed, as "Senior Citizen Day" received the most participation by far!!
