June 8th Commissioners Court recognizing the 18th year for the Tyler County Youth Summer Work Program. Each of these students will work around the county in various offices and job sites to gain valuable experience in the workforce. The Court also recognized Mrs. Terry Allen and her staff for their dedication to this program and the youth of Tyler County.

On May 31 the Blue Moon appeared in the night sky, offering a magnificent spectacle visible in many parts of the world. Contrary to what its name might suggest, the Moon did not actually turn blue. In astronomy, a "Blue Moon" refers to the second full moon occurring within the same month, a relatively rare event that only happens every two or three years. The full moon appeared last night and was especially bright and beautiful in the sky. Thanks to its intense luminosity, it was a spectacular event!

Dawcyn Day- a Colmesneil Elementary 2nd Grade Gifted and Talented student- observed the blue moon with a telescope and would like to share some of the photos he and his family took. It was an awe inspiring moment for Dawcyn, and now we can share in this event with him!
