Thank You Larry Tebben. Larry builds bird house in his spare time and he set up a table at our fire station today. You can’t put a price on his work so he sold them as a free will offering. Larry donated all of the proceeds to the Colman fire department. Well over $400 was donated. Good morning Colman Looney Days. We are set up at the fire hall for our pork feed just following the Main Street parade (10 am parade) . Come out and celebrate the 250th.

Thanks for purchasing your 2027 Ranger raffle tickets early. Remember it’s our 10th anniversary and we have added 4 extra prizes this yr. 2 flat screen TV’s and a rifle & shotgun. Get your tickets bought early for a monthly drawing to get another ticket entered for free. And always thank you for your support. Drawing for the winners will be at our annual pancake feed in 2027.

Colman Fire and Rescue would like to give a shout out to the Wildcats Bar in Colman for helping us out with our new pull tab machine!!

Grab some friends and head down to the Wildcats Bar, grab a beer, and gather around and play some pull tabs!! All proceeds go to the Colman Fire and Rescue Department to help keep the community safe!!

Six of us from Colman Fire attended South Dakota State Fire School this past weekend. Three of us attended advanced extrication class to gain more experience on vehicle stabilization, rescue tool use and vehicle construction. Thank you to Performance towing for hosting the class!

Great training again tonight. With a grant from BankWest we purchased a set of Res-Q-Jack’s. In this scenario, we had a patient trapped under the back set of axles. We stabilize the trailer and jacked one side up to retrieve the patient.

BankWest Colman, in partnership with Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines), is pleased to announce that Colman Fire & Rescue has received an $8,750 grant from the Member Impact Fund to acquire new handheld radios and pagers, gear and rescue equipment.

“We’re proud to invest in organizations that are meeting real needs in our community. By partnering with FHLB Des Moines, we’re able to extend our impact and support projects that help Colman grow and thrive,” said Tanner DeKam, BankWest’s Branch Manager in Colman.
