We are so grateful for Mr. Martin’s dedication to our schools!

At the August meeting of the Wayne County Board of Education, Mr. Sherman Martin was recognized for his dedication to Wayne County Schools.

This was Mr. Martin's final meeting, but we are grateful for his 12 years of service to the students, staff, families and communities of Wayne County.

Good afternoon!

Dr. Inman sent out a message regarding the CES fire alarm company testing our system today. As part of their tests, the air was temporarily shut off for a brief time. It was promptly restored and is working properly.

We were honored today to have Bro. Glenn Brown and Kim McFall from the Collinwood church of Christ with us to offer some words of encouragement and inspiration as we begin the new year. The church also provided our staff with some yummy trail mix for the teaching trail we are all about to navigate. Some days will be smooth, some sweet, and some a little nutty, but we are ready to succeed with everyone’s love and prayers! We appreciate our community partners so very much!

A little late posting, but we had a wonderful back-to-school night! Our theme this year is, “If you give CES a school year, we’ll help kids change the world!”

We were so pleased to have PTO, Wayne County Bank, FCA, and Wayne County Health Dept. set up tables to support our students!

Also, a huge thanks to the Bradley’s for bringing their New Orleans Original Snoball icees for the everyone to enjoy.

Special thanks to Ronnie and Barrett Bray for being our “mice” from the book series.

Thanks so much to Rick’s BBQ for the delicious PTO fundraiser supper!

We also has some great helpers that helped us prepare for this event. Micah Cowham, Maleigh Caperton, and Adalee Stephenson did a great job helping get things set up and decorated!

We would like to mention a couple of other changes we have had this year that were not included in the other listing.

This year, we are excited to have Mrs. Joy Stults full-time for Art all year and Mrs. Alex Mitchell full-time all year as our counselor! We also have a wonderful clinical counselor available part-time, Ms. YaShika Ray. We are so blessed to have these ladies with us!
