Collinsville Choirs CHS Choral Program- consisting of 2 curricular choirs and 1 extracurricular mixed ensemble

Bass/Treble Choir -
This curricular choral ensemble is for all high school students. This ensemble performs a wide range of choral literature of varying styles. Students in this group will demonstrate independent musicianship, display mastery of sight-reading ability and score study, and work on intermediate-level music theory concepts. The group participates in the Madrigal Feast as well as a wid

e variety of events, concerts, and school functions throughout the year. High school choir is currently split into two sections: Bass, (for lower, primarily male voices) and Treble (for upper, primarily female voices). South Morrison Swing -
This extra-curricular ensemble is for CHS students enrolled in a music ensemble, and membership is by audition only. This ensemble performs repertoires of jazz, pop, and a ca****la music. Students in this group will demonstrate collaborative musicianship as well as independent vocal technique, focusing on the areas of improvisation, stylization, and blend. Additionally, members must demonstrate advanced sight-reading skills and vocal control. The group participates in a variety of events, concerts, and school functions throughout the year.

The Collinsville High School Holiday Choir Concert will be Wednesday December 15, 2021 at 7pm. Doors open at 6:30pm. Free Admission! We will also be accepting donations of canned goods or pet food for the choir to donate to local food pantries and animal shelters.
