Covington County Education Center had career day. Guest speakers were Fredrick Barnes and Rev. Alfred Balthazar. Students and teachers enjoyed their inspirational teachings. The afternoon session was also great! Thanks to all who made this happen and thanks to all the speakers!

The Covington County School District and local law enforcement are currently investigating an alleged threat. All schools are following their school safety plan and taking all precautions to keep adults and children safe. Your loved one’s safety is our top priority. These precautions include limiting access into and out of campuses for all non-essential persons not associated with the ongoing investigation. Once these precautionary safety measures have been lifted, you will be notified when the regular school schedule resumes.

Many thanks to Mrs. Marie White, Mrs. Jan Prewitt, and Mrs. Teresa Hayes for our counseling session on the types of bullying. Our students were able to identify if they were the bully or have been bullied in the past and talk about it with these ladies. Thank you ladies and students for being a part of such an important topic!
