Tennessee “Handgun Carry” License Certification Class

Range USA Closed, We didn't! Come to the class that set the Tennessee State Handgun Permit standard all other Instructors are required to teach.

Cost: $150 per person
****Special: 2 or more people taking the course together will receive a 25$ discount per person****

This Saturday May 11th, 2019 from 8 am - approximately 5 pm. Lunch is available from Dyer's Café on the Square for an additional $10 per person, due the morning of the class at check-in.

Only 25 seats available per class.

Fee includes: TN Licensing Course, [from the range: 50 rounds, rental (if you do not have a pistol), and 2 TN Licensing Targets. State Licensing Fees are paid to the State of Tennessee separately.

Fulfill the State Requirements to receive your Tennessee Carry License.

We will cover the basic parts of a pistol & how it works, handgun safety, maintenance, fundamentals of shooting, target qualification, & the legal requirements and laws for Tennessee as they pertain to self-defense.

If you are new to shooting or a novice shooter, please bring the firearm you want to use for the shooting qualification to the classroom, NO AMMUNITION IS ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM. SAFETY FIRST! If you do not have a pistol we have rentals available at no additional cost.

All of the Tennessee requirements for your Tennessee Carry License will be fulfilled during this course.

This is the newest custom creation from Davis Shooting. We started with a full-sized Sig Sauer P320 and replaced the factory barrel with a custom hand fit threaded barrel. Added custom mill cuts in the slide to reduce felt recoil, and custom laser engraving. We replaced the factory recoil spring with a 1911 spring system that is tuneable using recoil springs that can be changed to fit your specific loads, and the factory recoil spring rod was replaced with 3 interchangeable rods made of tungsten, stainless steel, and tool steel for different weight classes. We changed the trigger assembly for an advanced flat trigger, then we hand polished the action to a mirror shine. Dropped the factory trigger-pull from 7 lbs. to the new 1 lb. 9 oz. average pull weight. We redid the factory stippling by adding a custom hand stippling with an aggressive texture for a better grip on the gun. We added a flared aluminum mag-well, and a magazine release that is 30% longer, and a vertical muzzle break. To really make it pop we custom cerakoted the slide, barrel, trigger, and all the control surfaces, frame, and functional parts. We kept the Sig-lite night sights, for now!
