Open Carry Begins Friday, January 1 in Texas. It's a good idea to watch the video below. Also, remember the 30.06 sign that prohibits the "concealed" carry of a handgun in an establishment is still valid. Plus, with the new law, we have a new sign...30.07 which prohibits the "open" carry of a firearm in an establishment. The sign posting requirements are the same as with the 30.06 sign. If an establishment wants to prohibit the "open carry" and "concealed carry" of a firearm, both signs must be displayed. Of course, verbal notification is just as valid as either or both of the signs.
