Kindergarten through 5th Grade currently enrolled students may be referred and tested for GT services and/or the ASPIRE Academy during the windows below:

Referral Window: January 10 - 28
Testing Window: February 1 - 28
GT Decisions mailed: March 28
ASPIRE Decisions mailed: April 27

We are so excited to see our kindergators tomorrow in the library at 7:35. If possible, please send in a healthy snack for you child. We have lunch at 10:45 and they get pretty hungry in the afternoon. We will have some extra snacks available this week for the students who don't have one. It's going to be an amazing day and a fabulous year!

Registration for the 2021-2022 school year is now open for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and all other new students. Returning students can register beginning May 3rd.

This was posted on FB by an amazing friend of mine. Her daughters are former gators. Looks like a great way for your child to get his/her letter from Santa. It is free - they will be donating money to Grace for every letter they receive. It looks like a win-win to me! In order to receive a letter back from Santa, please be sure to drop your letter off to them by Sunday, December 13th.

Santa is so busy that my teen girls are helping Santa this year with his letters and donating $5 for every letter received (up to $250) to GRACE of Grapevine. Here is the info:

The holiday season is here and Santa is hard at work. Make sure he gets your Christmas Wish List! We will be assisting Santa with delivering his letters. We have a festive mailbox where your child can drop off their wishlist. Please make sure to include a return address and Santa will send a personalized letter to your child! We really hope there is a lot of participation, it’s a great way to get into the Christmas spirit!!🎄🎅☃️❄️

If possible, please print this, fill it out and bring it to school with you on Friday when you come to Glenhope to wave at the teachers. This is very helpful information for us to have.

PLEASE REGISTER YOUR CHILD/REN if you haven't already done so!! An important message from Dr. Griffin...

Today's numbers show 348 Glenhope students have registered for next year, so we're about 69% of our normal enrollment. We're getting there, but please keep telling your friends. Some people may be delaying their registration because they aren't sure which option to pick. Please encourage them to go ahead and register and know that they can change their minds until August 3rd, which is 2 weeks before school starts. They can call the school if they do change their plans and we'll make note of the change, no questions asked!

Yesterday's opinion by Texas AG Ken Paxton has created some questions about the planning for the start of the year. As you know, last week Tarrant County said schools needed to do remote learning for the health and safety of the community. The AG's opinion letter stated that health departments didn't have the authority to do that. GCISD will have a board meeting on Friday at 5:00 to discuss the opinion letter and what our plan will be for the beginning of the year. Therefore, I don't have specific information about much of anything to share today.

What I can tell you is that every conversation between administrators is centered on how to provide the best educational experience for students while also being able to keep them and our staff as safe as possible. That has and will continue to be our focus. Thank you all for your continued support and understanding during this frustrating time!
