HMS PTSA Members: Make Your Voice Heard

Texas PTA is asking members across the state to complete its 2026 Advocacy Survey by September 9.

Survey responses will help Texas PTA develop its legislative priorities for the 90th Texas Legislative Session, which begins in January 2027.

This is an opportunity for HMS PTSA members to share which issues affecting Texas students, families and public schools should be included in Texas PTA’s advocacy work.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and make sure the voices of our HMS community are represented.

Parents Are Invited to Preview the SOS Prevention Program

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD parents are invited to preview the SOS Signs of Suicide® Prevention Program, which provides depression awareness and suicide-prevention education for students in grades 6–12.

Two preview sessions will be offered:
📅 Wednesday, September 2, 2026
⏰ 10:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.
📍 GCISD Administration Building—Board Room
3051 Ira E. Woods Ave., Grapevine

The program will be presented to HMS seventh- and eighth-grade students on September 15 and sixth-grade students on September 17. Students must have a school counseling services consent form completed in Skyward to participate in guidance lessons.

🎉 We reached our Head Start membership goal!

Thanks to our Bronco community, the HMS PTSA has 482 members, surpassing the Texas PTA Head Start benchmark of 478 members before August 31!

Now we’re moving toward our next goals:
⭐ 28 more members will earn HMS the Gold Voice for Every Child Award.
🐦 80 more members by September 30 will earn the Texas PTA Early Bird Achievement Award.
🏆 680 members will match HMS student enrollment and earn the Platinum Voice for Every Child Award.

Parents, students, grandparents, teachers, staff members and community supporters are all invited to join. Membership does not require volunteering or attending meetings. Your membership alone supports HMS and strengthens our voice for every student.
