Congratulations to AggieSat’s GeoRGE team for winning the Student Competition for Autonomous Measurement of Planetary Surfaces (SCAMPS) 2023! SCAMPS 2023 was an 18-month long competition between our AR1 and GeoRGE teams. Each team had to develop a concept of operations for an autonomous rover mission, define requirements for their system, then design, assemble, integrate, and test their rover. Showdown was held on April 7, where both the AR1 and GeoRGE teams learned valuable lessons in systems engineering!

Want to know what the eclipse looked like from geostationary orbit? Our Revitalization and Expansion of Ground Station team's got you covered! Current and former members worked together to build this time lapse of the eclipse as seen by the GOES-16 satellite.

Our GOES system receives and decodes Full Disk images of Earth as well as weather data from the GOES-16 satellite. Our test data are available to the public at: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ti0Mt2FwhvcPEb63z8XaialV2kNUhGk-?usp=drive_link
