GSS - AAEA Webinar Series
The GSS is establishing a Seminar Series that highlights graduate student research. The objective of these talks will be to provide graduate students with an opportunity to (i) gain experience presenting to an academic audience outside of their department and (ii) receive feedback on their papers.
Seminars will take place on Friday afternoons from 3:00-4:00 pm ET starting in late-October. The seminar format will be flexible, but our proposed structure is three, 20-minute time-slots for three different presenters. This would allow for a 15-minute presentation and five minutes for Q&A. For each seminar, there will be a consistent theme (e.g., three presentations on food choice). Once the third speaker concludes their presentation (at approximately 4:00 pm ET), the GSS is open to an extended discussion on the presentations or a social hour in which graduate students can network with graduate students and faculty from different universities.
If you are interested in presenting at one of these upcoming events, please fill out the form below, and a member of the GSS will be in touch with you soon. Note, we have nearly booked all of our Fall 2021 Seminar Series presentations, and we are now accepting Spring 2022 presentation requests.
