💔➡️❤️ ATA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS | TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS + Super 20 ❤️➡️💔
Yesterday was Day 3 of the ATA World Championships Tournament of Champions, the day for Combat Sparring, Traditional Sparring, and Team Sparring
Every year, this is the day we as coaches look forward to the most
It’s the day our students usually shine
But yesterday… yesterday wasn’t the day we had envisioned
From Lincoln, Coach Josh, Cullen, Khloe, Stella, Remi, and finally Coach Jessy…
Every one of them stepped onto those mats after months of preparation, sacrifices, extra practices, injuries, setbacks, and countless hours of training. They left everything they had out there
Some battled through multiple rounds
Some were eliminated sooner than they had hoped
Every single one of them gave 100%
The hardest moment of the day came when Coach Jessy fought her way into the Combat Sparring World Championship Finals
With the score tied 9-9, one point separated a lifelong dream from heartbreak
Unfortunately, that final point didn’t go our way
Then came team competition
Both our Crimson Phoenix Kids Team and Crimson Phoenix Adult Team earned the opportunity to compete for Combat Sparring and Traditional Sparring Team World Championships
Neither team made the podium
If we’re being honest…
Yesterday hurt
The students cried
The parents cried
The coaches cried
Because when you pour your heart into something for an entire season, it’s impossible not to hurt when it doesn’t end the way you imagined
But here’s what I know about this team…
We don’t quit
Our team is called the Crimson Phoenix for a reason
Just like the phoenix, we rise from the ashes
We’ll study what happened
We’ll learn from every mistake
We’ll train harder
We’ll become better teammates, better competitors, and better martial artists
Because martial arts has never been about collecting medals
It’s about building people who refuse to stay down
Yesterday reminded us of one of life’s greatest lessons:
Nothing is guaranteed
Nothing is handed to you
If you want something badly enough, you have to chase it relentlessly. You have to keep showing up when it’s hard. You have to keep believing when no one else does. And no matter how many times life knocks you down…
You get back up
And that’s exactly what this team did
Today, during super 20 they answered
They walked back onto those mats with confidence, determination, and heart
They refused to let yesterday define them
Instead…
They wrote a completely different chapter
🥇 Stella – Combat Sparring
🥈 Bella – Combat Sparring
🥈 Callen – XMA Forms
🥇 Lincoln - Sparring
One of the most emotional moments of the day came when Stella and Bella had to face each other in the finals, guaranteeing Aggieland Martial Arts both first and second place
🥇Cullen
🥇 Combat Sparring
🥇 Traditional Sparring
🥇 Creative Weapons
🥈XMA Forms
🥇XMA Weapons
A performance for the history books
And to every single Aggieland Martial Arts student who stepped onto those mats this week…
Thank you
Thank you for representing our school with integrity
Thank you for showing courage in both victory and defeat
Thank you for proving that champions aren’t defined by a single day
Yesterday tested us
Today reminded us exactly who we are!
No matter what the scoreboard says…
The Crimson Phoenix will always rise!!
❤️🖤 Crimson Phoenix… We Rise! 🖤❤️

🥋🏆 AGGIELAND MARTIAL ARTS HAS ITS FIRST-EVER WORLD CHAMPION! 🏆🥋
Today was a day that will forever be part of Aggieland Martial Arts history
Day 1 of the 2026 ATA World Championships Tournament of Champions was all about Creative and XMA, and our athletes stepped onto the biggest stage in the world with confidence, courage, and heart
💥 Cullen kicked things off in Creative Weapons and had the tough job of competing first. He delivered an absolutely incredible performance with a clean, powerful routine from start to finish. While he narrowly missed the podium, everyone in the arena knew they had just witnessed something special. Going first is one of the hardest positions in the division, and he represented Aggieland Martial Arts with pride. We couldn’t be more proud of him!
🔥 Remi was the fierce competitor we’ve all come to know and love! She lit up the mat with explosive power, incredible acrobatics, and unwavering confidence. Her division was stacked with some of the best athletes in the world, and she proved she belongs right there with them. What an amazing performance!
🥇 And then… history was made!
✨ Miss Jessy is the 2026 ATA Creative Forms World Champion! ✨
Our very first World Champion!!
Years of early mornings, late nights, injuries, sacrifices, countless practices, and unwavering determination all led to this moment. Watching her step onto the mat and perform with such confidence and heart was something none of us will ever forget!!
She is strong
She is fearless
She is an incredible role model
And now… she is a World Champion!!
We are beyond proud of everything she has accomplished and so grateful to everyone who has supported this journey!
❤️ Win or lose, this team continues to prove what Aggieland Martial Arts is all about, hard work, perseverance, sportsmanship, and never backing down from a challenge!
Tomorrow is Day 2 of the Tournament of Champions, and it’s Khloe’s turn to chase her dreams as she competes for the Forms and Weapons World Titles!
Let’s all send her as much Aggieland love and support as possible! 💙🥋

Every early morning
Every late night
Every challenge
Every victory
Every setback
They’ve earned the opportunity to compete with some of the best martial artists in the world!
❤️🖤 Then… The Crimson Phoenixes Take Flight ❤️🖤
To finish the week, our Crimson Phoenixes youth and adult teams will take the floor in Team Competition!
There is something truly special about stepping onto the mat shoulder to shoulder with your teammate.
Trusting one another
Fighting for one another
Representing something bigger than yourself
Those moments become memories that last forever
❤️ We Already Won ❤️
If we’re being honest…
This week will be an emotional roller coaster
There will be excitement
There will be nerves
There will be victories
There may also be disappointments
That’s what competition is
But one thing will never change…
We earned the right to be here!!
Nobody handed us these opportunities
Nobody gave us our place
Our athletes earned every single one
When they bow onto those mats, they’ll do so knowing they belong
Our job now is simple
Trust the training
Compete with confidence
Fight with heart
Leave absolutely nothing behind!
Then…
❤️ We celebrate!!
🏆 If we become World Champions…
We celebrate!!
❤️ If we fall short…
We celebrate anyway!!
Because this season has already been an incredible success!!
We’ve watched young martial artists become confident leaders
We’ve watched teammates become family
We’ve watched athletes discover they are capable of far more than they ever imagined
No medal
No trophy
No scoreboard
Can ever take those victories away!
❤️ Thank You ❤️
To our students…
Thank you for believing, and giving everything you had this season!
To our incredible parents
Thank you for every practice
Every early morning
Every late night
Every road trip
Every flight
Every hotel
Every tournament
Every sacrifice
None of this happens without you
This isn’t just our journey
It’s our family’s journey
No matter what happens this week at World Championships, we are already unbelievably proud of every athlete representing Aggieland Martial Arts!
Now it’s time!!
❤️ Phoenix…
The Crimson Phoenixes are coming!
🔥 Let’s make memories
🔥 Let’s compete with heart
🔥 Let’s represent Aggieland Martial Arts with pride
🔥 Let’s show the world what we’re made of!
❤️🖤🏆

🥋❤️ What a day for the Aggieland Martial Arts family ⭐️🥋
Today, Coach Josh officially completed his 3rd and final Midterm toward earning his 5th Degree Black Belt at the Region 112 Regional Midterm in Magnolia, Texas!
Not only did he complete the requirement, but he also earned an incredible 9 out of 10 on the scoreboard! 🙌🏽🔥
That means Coach Josh is now officially eligible to test for his 5th Degree Black Belt next April! ⭐
If you know Coach Josh, you know he doesn’t get nervous very often. Coach Josh will be the first to admit he was a little nervous this morning 😅, but he didn’t have to walk into that room alone
Our Founding Five kids, along with the parents who could make the drive, had given up their Saturday morning just to come cheer him on! ❤️ They weren’t competing. They didn’t have to be there. They simply wanted to support and love him. That meant everything!
As instructors, we’re usually the ones standing behind our students, reminding them to breathe before they compete, encouraging them after a tough round, celebrating their victories, and helping them through disappointments. Today, for a few hours, those roles were reversed ❤️
To our Founding Five and every parent who came today… thank you! 🫶🏼
Your support, your encouragement, your applause, and simply being in that room made today even more special than the score ever could. We truly are blessed and we honestly can’t thank our Aggieland Martial Arts family enough!
Watching our students and parents show up for each other is what makes this school so special 💙❤️
And as if today wasn’t already memorable enough…
When Coach Josh got home, there was one more surprise waiting in the mailbox 📬🏅
His 25-Year ATA commemorative pin had arrived!
Twenty-five years!
Twenty-five years of tying on belts
Twenty-five years of tournaments
Twenty-five years of wins and losses
Twenty-five years of amazing instructors, teammates, students, mentors, and lifelong friendships.
Twenty-five years of lessons that reached far beyond the mat!
It’s hard not to stop and appreciate everything martial arts has given along the way
The next chapter is now right around the corner
Next April, Coach Josh will have the opportunity to test for his 5th Degree Black Belt, making the transition from Bars ➡️ Star, earning his gold jacket patch, and putting on the full blue suit for the very first time ⭐💙
It’s a milestone that has taken decades of commitment, and everyone at Aggieland Martial Arts is excited to stand beside him when that day arrives!
But before April comes another challenge…
The focus now shifts to the ATA World Championships in Phoenix! 🥊🔥
For the next several weeks, Coach Josh will be training harder than ever as he takes another shot at one goal that has continued to motivate him for years, a World Championship in Sparring! ⭐️🥇
No matter how many degrees or world titles someone earns, there’s always another challenge, another lesson, and another reason to keep improving. That’s one of the things martial arts teaches us best!
If you’re going to be in Phoenix this summer, come find us Friday the 17th (we will post ring & time) and help us PACK Josh’s ring! 📣❤️ We would love nothing more than to hear all the voices cheering him on while he chases one more dream! 🖤
Thank you to everyone who has supported Coach Josh over the years, whether you’ve trained with him for ten years or ten days. Every student, every family, every teammate, every instructor, and every friend has been a part of this journey!
Today wasn’t just about checking off one more requirement toward a black belt
It was a reminder of how fortunate we are to be surrounded by people who genuinely care about one another
And we can’t wait to see where the journey takes us next ❤️🥋

⭐️ The Crimson Phoenix were ON KBTX TODAY! ⭐️
Today our Crimson Phoenix Team from Aggieland Martial Arts Academy had the incredible opportunity to appear on KBTX’s The Three and share the story of our journey to the World Championships in Phoenix, Arizona!
These athletes have spent countless hours training, sacrificing, and pushing themselves to become some of the top-ranked martial artists in the world. What makes this story even more special is that these students aren’t just teammates, they are our Founding Five! They have grown alongside Aggieland Martial Arts from day one!
We could not be more proud of Bella, Stella, Remi, Cullen, and Callan for representing College Station, Bryan, and the entire Brazos Valley with such professionalism, character, and determination!
A huge thank you to KBTX for helping share their story with our community. We are excited to continue our preparations as we head toward the World Championships this summer!
