New research from Dr. Adam Alvarez, published in the American Educational Research Association (AERA)’s Review of Educational Research, examines how Youth Participatory Action Research can move beyond documenting trauma to supporting student healing in school settings.

By centering students as co-researchers, this work highlights how young people can help shape more responsive and supportive learning environments.
