In a sure sign of increased bargaining power, reservation wages have increased from last year from $64,000 to almost $69,000.

Dr. Kalena Cortes, PSAA Associate Professor, was recently awarded a Southeastern Conference (SEC) Faculty Travel Grant. This competitive award gives faculty from the SEC an opportunity to travel to another SEC campus to exchange ideas, develop grant proposals, conduct research, present lectures or carry out other academic activities.
Texas A&M Faculty Awarded $7.7 Million To Advance Their Research
Thirteen distinguished faculty members from across Texas A&M University have been honored as 2021 Chancellor’s Enhancing Development and Generating Excellence in Scholarship (EDGES) Fellows. The Bush School's Dr. Kalena Cortes was one of the award recipients.

Dr. Laura Dague’s paper with Marguerite Burns, “The Effects of Medicaid Coverage on Post-Incarceration Employment and Recidivism” was selected as “Best of ARM” at Academy Health’s Annual Research Meeting in the program area “Coverage, Access, and Medicaid”. Each year, AcademyHealth review committees select the most outstanding research abstracts submitted in response to the Call for Abstracts in 21 different areas of health services research (HSR). The Best of ARM abstracts provide a snapshot of exceptional HSR occurring across the country with important implications for policy and practice. Dr. Dague’s presentation was featured at the June 2021 virtual meeting.
