For the next two weeks, 12 environmental studies and environmental geosciences students are studying in Colorado for the GEOS 380 course "High Alpine Field Ecology!"

Environmental Programs students in GEOS 405 just completed this incredible 9-day trip to the TAMU Soltis Center-San Isidro, Costa Rica!
The students were completing their capstone experiences by investigating projects about the role of fungi in carbon cycling, how Costa Rica's tilapia farming is influencing stream water quality, and on varying carbon sequestration in different tropical land use types.
Texas A&M Geography's Dr. Oliver Frauenfeld and teaching assistant Kourtney Higgins led the trip.

Texas A&M students in Environmental Programs are prepared for world-changing careers! Meet Isaac Breedlove '21, who changed his major to environmental geosciences at the end of his sophomore year, still graduated on-time in May 2021, and is currently a Natural Resource Specialist II at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality!
