Our first annual AVID 3x3 basketball tournament, Above the Rim, hosted by was a success! On March 6, students came together to play ball, show off their coaching, referee, and score keeping skills, and even hosted an ESPN sports commentary table. Everyone had a blast and we can’t wait to do it again next year.

Today our AVID students learned about the City of Mesquite from our very own City Manager, Cliff Keheley, and Deputy City Manager, Raymond Rivas. Students learned about how the city runs, job and internship opportunities, and were given time to ask questions. They even had one on one meet and greet time. This was a great opportunity bringing our city and school together.
