The IBEX Growing Bench System, which is 12 feet long, 33/4 feet wide, and 3 feet high (thus, no bending or kneeling), holds 48 reusable pots, keeps the fruit and vegetables off the ground, and minimizes exposure to excess moisture, soil-borne diseases, and pests. Because it provides control over sunlight, soil quality, moisture, and nutrients, the system will reportedly produce two crops of strawberries a year in most areas. The manufacturer indicates that many kinds of fruits and vegetables can be grown with the bench: green beans, tomatoes, green peppers, French Melons, strawberries, and more. The Basic Kit consists of a bench, plant-growing pots, all hardware, and instructions; the Deluxe Kit also includes an integrated misting irrigation system, nutrient-feeding injector, reinforced poly weather-guard canopy, and plants.
