National Rice Day is a time to recognize the farmers whose dedication and hard work make it possible to bring a staple crop to tables across the country and around the world.
From planting to harvest, rice farmers work with care, precision, and resilience to produce a crop that feeds millions and supports communities at home and abroad. Their commitment to the land and to sustainable production helps ensure a dependable food supply year after year.
Today we thank the farmers who make rice production possible and keep agriculture strong from the ground up.

Did you know that honeybees are responsible for pollinating about one-third of the food we eat? Many of the fruits, vegetables, and nuts that make up our diet rely on bees for pollination. Without bees and other pollinators, the global food supply would look very different. Farmers have a special relationship with these pollinators, ensuring that their crops are adequately supported by healthy bee populations.

When harvesting, one doesn't have to immediately put into storage containers or balance in one hand what's picked or pulled; instead, it can be put in the pouch of the Produce-Gathering Apron, which allows for hands-free work. The apron is designed to keep the weight off the neck and distribute it evenly across the shoulder and back. Made of water-resistant material, it features adjustable halter straps, Velcro snap bottom for removal of whatever is in the pouch (the produce or other material), and extra storage pockets for other items.

National Guacamole Day is a great reminder of the farmers who make every scoop possible. From growing avocados to producing the onions, tomatoes, peppers, and other fresh ingredients that bring guacamole to life, agriculture is at the heart of this favorite snack.
Today, we celebrate the hard work and dedication of farmers who provide fresh, nutritious foods for tables across the country. Thank you for all you do to keep agriculture growing.
