Today we celebrate the 251st Birthday of the United States Army. Since 1775, Soldiers have answered the call to serve our nation with courage, commitment, and selfless dedication.

On this Army Birthday, we honor all who have worn the uniform and thank them for their service, sacrifice, and enduring legacy. Happy Birthday, Army!

Today we celebrate Flag Day and honor the Stars and Stripes as a symbol of our nation's history, values, and enduring spirit.

For generations, the American flag has represented the freedoms we cherish and the sacrifices made to protect them. Today we reflect on the ideals that unite us and the service of those who have defended them.

On the 82nd anniversary of D-Day, we pause to remember the service members who took part in the Normandy invasion and the immense sacrifices made in pursuit of freedom. Their courage changed the course of history and serves as a lasting reminder of the cost of liberty. We honor their legacy and the generations of veterans who have followed in their footsteps.

We would like to give a big shoutout and congratulations to Charles on being recognized for his contributions to the Aggie veteran community. He serves as a shining example of what happens when military values and our Aggie core values converge. Keep up the good work, and Gig'em!

Charles Gardner has been named the recipient of the 2026 Student Veteran Excellence Award, an annual honor recognizing exemplary leadership, service and advocacy on behalf of military-connected students across the A&M System.

Memorial Day is a time to honor the heroes who never came home. We remember their selfless service, mourn their loss, and express our deepest gratitude for the freedoms secured through their sacrifice.

On Maritime Day, we recognize the vital role America’s maritime industry and merchant mariners play in supporting global trade, national security, and military operations around the world. We honor their service, sacrifice, and continued commitment to keeping our nation connected across the seas.

Today we celebrate the service members who stand ready to defend our nation every day. This Armed Forces Day, we extend our gratitude to all active duty, National Guard, and Reserve personnel for their continued sacrifice and dedication.

This Children of Fallen Patriots Day, we pause to honor the children of America’s fallen heroes. Their stories remind us that the cost of service extends beyond the battlefield, and their resilience deserves our deepest respect and support.

We want to take today to celebrate all our military spouses, your love and support knows no bounds! Your support, adaptability, and commitment hold families together through constant change and challenge. On Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we thank you for all that you do, seen and unseen.
