Plot twist: one event somehow turned into FOUR. 💁‍♀️🔥🤯

What started as a single educational event on 5/13 quickly turned into a statewide adventure for our PEEP Ambassadors! You could find our team at Refugio, Zapata, and Washington County Ag Days, as well as Texas Legislative Ag Day, all sharing the story of the poultry industry.

At each event, our ambassadors educated attendees about poultry production, its impact on Texas agriculture, and how poultry products make their way from the farm to consumers. More than 1600 individuals in total!🫳🎤

We are incredibly grateful to our PEEP Ambassadors for traveling across the state and helping bridge the gap between poultry production and the public through agriculture education. A special thank you to our Program Specialist, Stephanie Klein, for leading the PEEP Program and coordinating these outreach efforts alongside event hosts across Texas. 🐓💛

The Texas Commercial Egg Clinic was held on May 13 in College Station, bringing together more than 140 participants from across the poultry industry. 🥚🐓

This annual event connects producers, industry leaders, and allied partners to discuss the evolving landscape of commercial egg production and the latest topics impacting the industry.

A special thank you to our Poultry Extension Specialist, Dr. Pramir Maharjan, for hosting this valuable educational event for poultry producers and industry stakeholders.

From the barn to the show ring! 🐔🏆

More than 200 participants joined us for the Market Poultry Workshop to learn, connect, and gain hands-on knowledge to help prepare their birds—and themselves—for success in the show ring!

A huge thank you to our event sponsors—Ful-O-Pep Feeds, Oxy-Gen Livestock, Producers Cooperative Association, and A&B Livestock Supply—for supporting this educational opportunity and helping make the workshop possible! 👏

We also appreciate the Texas A&M University Poultry Science Department and Texas Youth Livestock and Agriculture Poultry Ambassadors for joining us, sharing their knowledge, and connecting with participants throughout the day.

We’re proud to support the next generation of market poultry exhibitors and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the show ring! 🐔✨

We are proud to share that Smart Swine, LLC., an innovative startup project developed by poultry science graduate students, has been named a Top 12 finalist in the AI Venture Velocity Challenge, organized by Texas A&M Mays Business School. 🥳

Smart Swine is taking on one of the swine industry’s most persistent challenges: reducing piglet mortality. The team is developing an AI-powered computer vision system paired with custom robotics to move beyond simply detecting risk and toward predictive prevention.

The project earned its place among the Top 12 after competing in a nationwide pool of 531 startups and advancing through a field of 27 semifinalists.

Advised by Ziteng Xu, Ph.D., and developed through collaboration with the Texas A&M University College of Engineering, Smart Swine brings together graduate student innovation and expertise in animal agriculture, artificial intelligence, and engineering to address a real-world production challenge.

The Smart Swine team will take the next step on Sept. 26 in College Station, where they will present in the final round of the AI Venture Velocity Challenge for a chance to earn the $100,000 top prize.

Congratulations to the Smart Swine team on this milestone, and we can't wait to cheer them on in the finals!
