🎨🏆 CSISD Fine Arts is celebrating BIG! 🏆🎨

We are excited to announce that College Station ISD has been recognized as a recipient of the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) District of Distinction Award for the 2025–2026 school year!

Out of more than 1,200 eligible school districts across Texas, only 109 districts earned this prestigious recognition.

Presented by the Visual Art Administrators of Texas, a division of the Texas Art Education Association, this award honors districts that demonstrate outstanding leadership and commitment to visual arts education. Districts are evaluated using a rigorous 14-point rubric that highlights excellence in areas such as student exhibitions, competitions, TAEA involvement, community engagement, field experiences, collaboration across content areas, and support for high-quality visual arts programs.

This honor reflects the incredible work of our talented art educators, the creativity of our amazing students, and the continued support of our families, administrators, Board of Trustees, and community.

🎭 Welcome to the Cougar Theatre Family! 🎭

Please join us in welcoming Kathleen Finch as the new Assistant Theatre Director at College Station High School!

Kathleen is a graduate of The University of Evansville, where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance. After living, working, and performing in New York City, she is excited to return home to her alma mater and begin this new chapter as an Assistant Theatre Teacher at CSHS.

Her professional performance experience, passion for theatre, and enthusiasm for developing young artists make her a wonderful addition to the College Station ISD Fine Arts family. We are excited for our students to learn from her experience and look forward to the creativity, energy, and inspiration she will bring to the Cougar Theatre program.

Welcome home, Kathleen! We can't wait to see all that you'll accomplish at College Station High School. 💙🎭
