Since 1876, Texas A&M University’s equine program has built one of the most respected Quarter Horse programs in the industry, registering its first horse with the American Quarter Horse Association in 1941. Today, the program remains home to the longest continuous herd of American Quarter Horses on any college campus in the world.

Focused on producing elite performance horses with top working cow horse, cutting, reining, and ranch bloodlines, the program gives students hands-on experience in breeding, management, training, and marketing. The horses offered today have been raised and handled daily within the program, representing generations of thoughtful breeding, quality care, and real-world education.
