Over the last few months I have been working on putting together two styled shoots to allow students to really see what takes place when prepping, designing and setting up a wedding. I was also super excited to include our awesome AVP students who were exposed to another side of photography and videography. I can’t wait to see what the students and photographers captured from this styled shoot!

February arrangements went out just in time for Valentine’s Day! 💕

In advanced floral we discussed different arch arrangements and current trends. I knew I wanted students to design an arch arrangement but knew allowing each student to build a full sized wedding arch just wasn’t feasible. Currently, the asymmetrical arrangement pictured below is used a lot in weddings and I knew we could recreate that on a small scale with the help of our ag mech peeps!

Once the mini stands were made students were split in groups of 3, given random leftover flowers in the cooler and told they could choose any colors as long as they matched. Once complete they were given the task to come up with a design board that had a theme that would fit the colors they chose along with other arrangements they might use at that particular wedding. (Also pictured below)

Last week, advanced floral students were given creative freedom to design their Christmas floral arrangement with the supplies given. They received very little guidance during the design process. It was super neat to see each designers individual style come to life! 💐
