Meet our June 2026 Amazing Student, Mia Kupres! 🎓🎾

Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Mia is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Master of Science in Economics through Texas A&M’s Fastrack 3+2 Program, with interests in econometrics and applied economic analysis.

As a standout student-athlete on the Texas A&M Women’s Tennis Team, Mia has helped lead the Aggies to three NCAA Championship appearances and two national titles, including the first NCAA Women’s Tennis National Championship in Texas A&M history. Along the way, she has earned All-SEC honors and recognition on both the SEC and Athletic Director’s Honor Rolls.

Beyond the court, Mia is passionate about economics, research, and data analysis. She is especially interested in applied econometrics and using data to better understand economic, financial, and athletic performance questions. Her favorite part of studying economics is uncovering the hidden logic behind complex real-world issues and discovering new ways to understand the world around her.

After graduation, Mia hopes to pursue opportunities that combine her interests in economics, research, analytics, and sports. We are proud to celebrate her incredible achievements and look forward to seeing all that she accomplishes in the future.

Congratulations, Mia, and Gig ’em! 👍
