🌟 ALUM SPOTLIGHT 🌟

The Texas 4-H Council had an incredible opportunity to tour Blue Bell Creameries this morning!

While the ice cream was certainly a highlight, the real treat was being welcomed and led on the tour by Christy Moran, a Texas 4-H Council alum (1991–1992) and Research & Development Manager at Blue Bell Creameries.

Christy, along with her co-workers, shared their leadership journeys, career experiences, and the passion behind working for one of Texas' most iconic companies. Their stories reminded our Council that the leadership skills developed through 4-H can open doors to meaningful careers and create opportunities to make an impact in countless industries.

Thank you, Christy and the entire Blue Bell team, for your warm hospitality, inspiring insights, and, of course, the delicious ice cream! We appreciate you investing in the next generation of Texas 4-H leaders.

D3 was well represented this past week at the Texas State 4-H Dog Show in Kerrville with 4-Hers from Wilbarger, Wichita, Wise, Archer, Young and Parker Counties competing.
These 4-Hers and their best pups competed in contests such as Rally, Obedience, Conformation, Showmanship, Costume, Tricks, Olympics and even a Skillathon contest.
Lots of fun was had and at the end of the 2 ½ days, everyone took home the best dog!

If you’re interested in the 4-H Dog project, reach out to your local County Extension Office. Great adult volunteers are also needed to help with this project!

This year featured one of the largest and most competitive Council candidate groups we’ve had. Every candidate demonstrated exceptional leadership, making the selection process incredibly difficult. We’re proud of each and every one of them for stepping outside their comfort zone and running for office.

Congratulations to this outstanding team - we can’t wait to watch you lead District 3 this year! 🍀💚

Record Book Judges Needed!
District Record Book Judging is online this year—no travel and no taking off work! Judges will have a 3-day window to log in and evaluate their assigned books at their convenience.

This is a great opportunity for parents and volunteers to learn more about the record book process while helping support our 4-H members. Most judges review fewer than 10 books.
