We had the privilege of hosting Dr. Bruce Whittle from AAEP for a 3 day dentistry wet lab last weekend that consisted of lecture, cadaver practice, and floating horses! Special thanks to Dr. Whittle, Dr. Mike Martin, Dr. Cleet Griffin, Dr. Dustin Major, Dr. Leslie Easterwood, Dr. Kat King, and Dr. Yoko Tanaka for their time and dedication to make this weekend happen as well!

We had so much fun! Thanks Brazos Valley for everything you do for our students😁

What an exciting day at BVEH! 😄 We had Texas A&M's vet students join us to gain hands-on experience with castration procedures on several donkeys. 🌟 It’s amazing to see our future veterinarians in action and learning new skills! 🐴

Over Labor Day weekend, 16 of our 3rd year students had the opportunity to go to OEPS in Lexington, KY! We were fortunate to network with clinics all across the country, tour incredible farms and facilities, as well as spend time at Hagyard and Rood and Riddle Equine Hospitals.

Our club had the opportunity to work on their dentistry skills this weekend!! It was an excellent hands on opportunity and we’re so thankful for our professors involved with this. A big thank you to Dr. Pearson, Dr. Maples, and Dr. Fridley for giving up their Sundays to teach teeth! 🦷 🐎

On January 13th, our Texas A&M Student Chapter of the American Association of Equine Practitioners hosted our annual Wet Lab.
This year, we had over 230 veterinary students (from 20 different vet schools!), over 50 student volunteers, and over 65 teaching clinicians join us for a day of learning valuable skills in equine veterinary medicine. We concluded the event with an equine-focused Job Fair brought to us by the Texas Equine Veterinary Association and the Texas Equine Foundation, where we had over 50 clinics offering networking and career opportunities to our equine-focused veterinary students.

Take a look at what the day was like through the links below —
