Smoke was in the air all weekend in Aggieland 🔥
Barbecue Summer Camp brought together barbecue enthusiasts for three days of hands-on learning, expert instruction and plenty of time around the pit. Participants explored topics like meat selection, seasoning, fire management and smoking techniques while learning what goes into great Texas barbecue.

Help advance equine health research!
Texas A&M AgriLife researchers are inviting horse owners and equine professionals to participate in a national survey focused on equine metabolic health. Researchers hope to better understand current management practices, identify knowledge gaps and develop resources that support horse owners and the broader equine industry.

A Texas A&M Animal Science degree launched his career. Today, he’s helping future Aggies launch theirs.
Casey Bradshaw ‘95 has spent his career in the beef industry, but his connection to Texas A&M didn’t end at graduation. As chair of the College of Agriculture Development Council, the Animal Science former student is helping support scholarships that create opportunities for students across the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.

Future livestock judges, industry leaders and Aggies all in one place👏
This week, Texas A&M Animal Science faculty, staff and students helped facilitate the Livestock Judging Contest at Texas 4-H Roundup, welcoming 4-H members from across Texas to campus.
From evaluating classes to defending their decisions, participants put their livestock knowledge to work while gaining valuable experience that will benefit them far beyond the contest arena. We are always proud to play a small role in helping develop the next generation of leaders in agriculture.
