The Southern Region has officially dropped to only a quarter of the region experiencing drought conditions, with some drought degradation in Texas and Oklahoma.

Louisiana becomes the first full state to be drought-free, while the Southern Region as a whole only has 4% in D3 or higher drought conditions.

This year, the Gulf Resilience Community of Practice (CoP) Annual Meeting will be hosted by Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, from November 16–18.
