๐ŸŽ‰ 18th Annual Stream Clean Success! ๐ŸŽ‰

A huge thank you to all 45 incredible volunteers who came out last Saturday, October 18th, for the 18th Annual EHS Stream Clean!

Together, we made a massive impact, collecting 33 bags of trash from the White Creek area (Horticulture Rd to Kimbrough). This effort is part of our commitment to Texas A&M's Municipal Stormwater Permit, educating students and the BCS community on the vital importance of stormwater quality and proper trash disposal.

Over the years, our Stream Cleans have removed over 750 bags of trash, plus countless tires, car parts, construction debris, and even a pair of fireman bunker pants from the creeks that run through the Texas A&M campus!

A HUGE shout out to our partners & sponsors:

Volunteers from: American Fisheries Society, Texas A&M Chapter, Texas A&M Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society, Environmental Programs Involvement Committee (EPIC), and EHS staff.

Sponsors: Keep Brazos Beautiful (for the litter kits!), Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals - Lone Star Chapter, and SET Environmental (for t-shirt donations!).

WANT TO HELP? Every day is a chance to make a difference:

1. Always bag and tie your trash before placing it in the garbage can.

2. Use reusable grocery bags instead of single-use plastic.

3. Pick up litter you see on the ground and place it in a receptacle.

It's that time of year when Aggies come together to clean up our area streams! Join Texas A&M Environmental Health & Safety on Saturday, October 18th, from 8:00am to 11:00am to clean streams around campus. Participants will meet in parking lot 97 at 7:45am to sign in, pick up equipment, and listen to safety brief. From there, we will depart to the designated areas for clean up. Participants will need to sign up for one spot and enter a t-shirt size by October 3, 2025. This will be the absolute last day to get the correct t-shirt size. In the event of bad weather cancellation, we will send an email through this site. For any other questions please Sign up for Stream Clean 2025!
