The Value of Educators and Global Challenges
Having spent time as a teacher myself, I have witnessed firsthand how teachers and schools in the United States are often undervalued. Unfortunately, this lack of appreciation is not unique to the United States; many countries around the world face similar issues when it comes to recognizing and supporting their educators.
My Commitment to a School in Western Kenya
Because of these shared challenges, I am deeply passionate about supporting a small school located on the Nyakach Plateau in Western Kenya. My experiences have motivated me to take action and make a tangible difference in the lives of teachers working in underserved communities.
How You Can Help
As part of our upcoming mission trip in May, I am organizing a Teacher Appreciation Day to honor and support these dedicated educators. To make this event possible, I am reaching out to friends, family, and anyone willing to help. Your support can come in the form of monetary donations or by contributing items from an Amazon wish list specifically curated for the teachers’ classroom needs.
The Impact of Your Contribution
The teachers at this school have limited resources for their classrooms, and every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference. It is truly remarkable how much can be accomplished with the cost equivalent to your daily coffee from Starbucks or Dutch Bros. Together, we can show these teachers how much they are valued and help provide them with the tools they need to succeed.
A portion of all AggieMAMA fees goes to help this school each semester! However there is never enough funds to cover everything the school desperately needs.
