It's not a "dinner table" conversation, but that doesn't make it any less real.

This week, we had the joy of sitting down with prospective students over a special breakfast and speaking with men who are thinking seriously about the work of preaching the gospel.

Moments like these remind us that the future of the Texas School of Preaching is bright. We are encouraged by those who are preparing their hearts, considering the call, and looking ahead to a life of service in the kingdom of God.

At TXSOP, our commitment remains the same: to train faithful, capable, and courageous gospel preachers who can rightly divide the word of truth and serve the Lord’s church with conviction.

If you have a desire to preach or if you are considering enrolling at the Texas School of Preaching, we would love to hear from you. Contact us today and take the first step toward preparing for the greatest work in the world.

Each year, the Texas School of Preaching is blessed to pause and express our gratitude to those who make this work possible. Our annual Supporters’ Banquet is one small way we honor the brethren, congregations, and friends who continue to stand behind the mission of training faithful gospel preachers.

We know that not everyone who supports this work is able to attend in person, so we prepared this video as a heartfelt thank-you to all who continue to encourage, pray for, and financially support the school.

Because of your generosity, students are being trained, congregations are being strengthened, and the gospel continues to be carried into the world. Your support is not merely helping a school continue; it is helping prepare men for the lifelong work of preaching Christ and His Word.

From all of us at the Texas School of Preaching: **thank you**. We are deeply grateful for your confidence, your sacrifice, and your partnership in this great work.

Something new is here at the Texas School of Preaching, and it's built for the next generation.

Introducing ππ‘πŽπ‚π‹π€πˆπŒ! - our brand-new preparatory camp for young men ages 13–18.

Whether your son has already felt a pull toward preaching or has never once thought about standing before a congregation, ππ‘πŽπ‚π‹π€πˆπŒ! is designed to put the experience within his reach. For the first time, he'll get to step behind the lessons and discover what it actually looks like to open God's Word and speak it to others.

At ππ‘πŽπ‚π‹π€πˆπŒ!, young men will:
πŸ“– 𝙀𝙭π™₯π™šπ™§π™žπ™šπ™£π™˜π™š π™₯π™§π™šπ™–π™˜π™π™žπ™£π™œ π™›π™žπ™§π™¨π™©π™π™–π™£π™™ - not just watch it, but begin to taste what it means to deliver a lesson themselves.

πŸ› οΈ π™‚π™–π™žπ™£ π™§π™šπ™–π™‘ 𝙩𝙀𝙀𝙑𝙨 - learning how to prepare and present sermons and lessons with confidence.

πŸ” π˜Ώπ™žπ™œ π™žπ™£π™©π™€ π™©π™π™š 𝙒𝙀𝙧𝙙 - studying through books of the Bible and building genuine, lasting Bible knowledge they'll carry for life.

When the day's lessons are done, campers return to comfortable housing nestled in the beauty of College Station's open landscapes, a peaceful setting that lets them rest, reflect, and recharge. Evenings are filled with fun activities and fellowship, giving the young men a chance to build friendships and make memories that last well beyond the week.

This is more than a camp. It's a chance for a young man to grow in the Word, to develop skills that will serve him in any role he fills in the church, and to spend time among people who take faithful study and service seriously.

Until we care that souls are lost, we will never labor as though they can be found!

Another year has ended at the Texas School of Preaching, and we give thanks to God for what has been accomplished.

Our Graduation Banquet and Graduation Ceremony marked more than the end of the school year. They marked the completion of hard work, long hours, deep study, sacrifice, growth, and preparation. These graduates have finished this stage of their training, and now they move forward into the next avenue of life and service, carrying with them the charge to preach the Word, defend the truth, and serve faithfully in the kingdom of God.

We are deeply thankful to all who make this great work possible. To our generous supporters, thank you for believing in the mission of training gospel preachers. To our full-time and part-time instructors, thank you for pouring your knowledge, experience, time, and heart into these men. To the BCS church of Christ, thank you for standing behind this work with love and conviction. And to the elders who oversee the Texas School of Preaching, thank you for your leadership, wisdom, and faithful commitment to this tremendous work.

As one class steps out, another will soon step in. We look forward with great anticipation to welcoming new students who desire to give themselves to the study and proclamation of God’s Word.
The work continues. The mission remains clear. The Texas School of Preaching is committed to training men to preach the gospel with conviction, sound doctrine, humility, and courage.

To our graduates: may the Lord bless you as you go forward. Preach it distinctly, give the sense, and cause people to understand the reading!

So built we the wall; and all the wall was joined together unto the half thereof: for the people had a mind to work. Nehemiah 4:6

This month, our students traded the classroom for the open road, embarking on our apologetics field trip across the American Southwest, a journey we're now privileged to offer every two years as part of our commitment to training preachers who are ready to "give an answer for the hope that is in them" (1 Peter 3:15).

Led by Dr. Jeff Miller of Apologetics Press, our group explored some of God's most striking handiwork with an emphasis on the global flood. We walked among the ancient logs of the Petrified Forest and the sweeping vistas of the Painted Desert. We stood at the rim of Meteor Crater, hiked the formations of Sunset Crater Volcano, ventured into the Walnut Canyon Lava River Cave, and turned our eyes heavenward at Lowell Observatory before standing in awe at the edge of the Grand Canyon. At every stop, Dr. Miller helped our students see how the evidence of the natural world testifies to the Creator, equipping them to teach and defend the faith with both conviction and understanding.

What made this trip especially meaningful was the presence of families. Apologetics is not learned in isolation, and neither is ministry. To see students standing shoulder to shoulder with their spouses and children, wives, husbands, and little ones taking in these wonders together was a beautiful reminder that we are not simply training individuals. We are investing in households devoted to the Lord's work.

This is what a well-rounded preparation for ministry looks like. Alongside deep study of Scripture, our students receive a robust education in apologetics that strengthens both their preaching and their personal walk with God. We believe a faithful proclaimer of the Gospel should be ready in the pulpit, in conversation, and at the canyon's edge.

If you are interested in the Texas School of Preaching, reach out, and let us help you prepare for a life in the ministry.
