At the Texas School of Preaching, we are thankful for those with whom we have enjoyed “fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now” (Philippians 1:3-5).
On Sunday and Monday, we were blessed to spend time with our church family at the Hillcrest Church of Christ in Stephenville, Texas. Our men were invited to help conduct the Lord’s Day worship services and participate in the Preachers’ Luncheon on Monday!

Hillcrest has faithfully supported the Texas School of Preaching from its inception, and we are deeply grateful for their continued fellowship, encouragement, and support. We love and appreciate this congregation dearly!

At the Texas School of Preaching, our instructors are not just a blessing to us, but make beautiful contributions to good works of the Lord all over the kingdom. Over the weekend and into the Lord’s day, Jason Rollo and Rick Popejoy enjoyed the blessing of working with the Carriage Oaks congregation in Bossier City, Louisiana. Doubtless, this duo was a blessing to Carriage Oaks, and Carriage Oaks was a blessing to them!

We pray for fruitfulness for weeks, months, and years to come as a result of this joint effort in Christ!

Last, but certainly not least! We’re excited to introduce the fourth and final member of this year’s incoming class. Please help us welcome him and keep him in your prayers as he studies, grows, and prepares for greater service in the Lord’s kingdom!

“Hello, Brethren! My name is Jackson and I am 20 years old, single, and have been a Christian since 2021. Since my conversion, I have sought to continually grow in His knowledge and love of the Lord, striving to faithfully serve Him and share His Word with others. We’re off to a great start!

Our students have been busy learning, growing, and preparing for greater service in the Lord’s kingdom. From classes in Hermeneutics and Homiletics to chapel singing, preaching, and practical instruction behind the pulpit, these first couple of weeks have been full!

This morning’s chapel lesson, given by brother Weston Blanton, reminded us of a simple, yet important truth: just as we must follow the whole recipe to get the desired result, we must follow God’s Word completely. Faith is essential, however, “faith without works is dead” (James 2:14-26). We don’t rewrite the recipe, we simply trust the One who gave it and obey His Word.

Lastly, we earnestly request that you please keep our students and their studies in your prayers. We’re thankful for a great beginning to this new quarter and are looking forward to all the growth that lies ahead!
