The Department of Music offers the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music degrees, and it offers a minor in music. Instruction and experiences in music are provided to prepare students for careers in music, guide in the development of performance skills, heighten aesthetic sensitivity, and enhance the cultural setting of both campus and community. The Bachelor of Music degree is a professional pro
gram with a choice of two majors: Music Education or Music Performance. Formal acceptance as a music major or minor is accomplished by passing a performance audition before the music faculty and completing Theory I. More detailed information about the music program and each of the degree tracks may be obtained from the sources listed below. Most programs take place on the campus of Walla Walla University in College Place, Washington, at the Melvin K. West Fine Arts Center Auditorium, 204 S. College Ave., or in the University Church at 212 SW 4th Street. Admission is free for most programs unless otherwise noted. Some concerts will include opportunity for giving a freewill donation to support the programming of special events.
