It's a wrap for the MSE Summer Camp! Learn more about what the students did during their time at UMD:
Photo 1: Students win Impact Challenge during IMT summer camp by making the toughest composites.
Photo 2: Professor Yifei Mo introduces a computer programming workshop where high school students learn how computational simulations and AI are used to study materials at the atomic level. Participants explore coding, running Python programs, crystal structure visualization, and data analysis in a hands-on learning environment.
Photo 3: Students electroplate copper onto iron in a blue bath of copper sulfate. Connecting a battery to the iron nail and copper electrode in the bath allows copper iron to reduce on the surface of the nail.
