Join SPP for the first volunteer event of the semester! We will be working with Kids Enjoy Exercise Now (KEEN). Volunteer coaches are paired one-to-one with our youngest athletes (ages 5 to 12) and then our teens (ages 13 to 20+) in two back-to-back sessions to help them participate in individualized activities that appeal to the athlete's personal interests and abilities. Athletic equipment--basketballs, soccer balls, hockey sticks, scooters, hula hoops, and much, much more--are provided.

Great volunteering opportunity!
KEMS (Kids Excelling in Math and Science) is an after school program at Hyattsville Middle School (near campus - 2.4 miles to be exact). The program is looking for mentors with STEM backgrounds to help out a few times this semester (even if you don't have a STEM background that's okay too). This semester KEMS is exploring the topic of "Chemistry, Food and Agriculture." It will explore both the scientific, social and economic aspects of it.
Time commitment is 4-5:30pm on Mondays when you're able to make it. Please email MPP Student Chloe Mazzone at [email protected] if this is something you are interested in.
