UMD 4-H Horse Program

UMD 4-H Horse Program The University of Maryland Extension 4-H Horse Program is designed for youth aged 8-18. There are opportunities to compete with or without owning a horse.

Check with your local 4-H office to see how you can be involved. The University of Maryland Extension 4-H Horse Program is designed for youth between the ages of 8 and 18 who love horses. Throughout the year, various activities encourage kids and volunteers to expand their knowledge and connect with others who share their passion for horses. These activities include riding at the county and state levels, advancing horse skills through horsemanship testing, demonstrating knowledge and speed in Horsebowl, honing communication skills with Horse Judging, and putting all your expertise to the test with Hippology, among others. The opportunities with 4-H are limitless! Interested in joining the program? Visit http://www.4hhorse.umd.edu/ for more information. Already a member or volunteer? Visit http://www.4hhorse.umd.edu to stay updated on program activities, or check this page! This institution is an equal opportunity provider. If you have any accommodation requests, you can contact your local UMD Extension Office.
