Photo finish! Now-retired Director of STAMP Dr. Marsha Guenzler-Stevens stopped by for a photo op at the Jim Henson memorial statue with husband Randy and their sweet dogs Churchill and Ginsburg as Marsha left STAMP at the end of her last official day on the job.

We were also able to snap a pic of her with UMD Office of Family Engagement's Matt Supple and STAMPers Sharon Tharkur, Yvette Lerma Jones and family, Brandon Dula, and Kedric Elmore.

As we look back on decades of Dr. Marsha Guenzler-Stevens' leadership at the University of Maryland and STAMP, we feel truly blessed by the legacy of connection, relationship-building, and love that she leaves. And we know that, even as she begins her retirement and gives up the reins of leadership at The Adele H. Stamp Student Union—Center for Campus Life, we can still look forward to many wonderful conversations and heartfelt handwritten notes.

Maryland Today | A Legacy of Love After 44 Years at UMD, Stamp Student Union Director Marsha Guenzler-Stevens to Retire in August

Last week, we celebrated Dr. Marsha Guenzler-Stevens’ legacy of love with dear friends from near and far. There was laughter, there were lots of hugs, and, yes, there were a few tears and we reflected on Marsha’s 44 years at the University of Maryland.

As Vice President for UMD Student Affairs Patty Perillo stated at an earlier celebration, the director of STAMP is a “woman who leads with kindness and care, love and attention.” She has truly been “the heartbeat of this campus, the soul of this place.” She is a woman to genuinely celebrate as she prepares to retire at the end of this summer.
