Up next is Elia!! 🎓👏
❤️ Elia is graduating with majors in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Psychology.
💛 Her favorite MSFSC has to be 2024 Blue Hen Classic, as it was really fun competing with everyone and also being in the top 10! It was also Elia’s last intercollegiate competition.
🖤 Elia’s advice for incoming freshman and new skaters is “enjoy college skating! Theres no other experience like it and make connections! Skating is much more fun and college in general is much more fun with other people! Also try competing at least once! It’s super laidback and there’s almost 0 pressure. It’s so fun to cheer everyone on and there’s so much support for every skater. Not just from UMD but other schools too. It’s one of the best chances to try competing for the first time.“
🤍 After graduation, Elia will be taking a gap year before going to law school. She will also be testing her last 3 International Dances!
Congratulations Elia!!! 🥳 We’re so grateful for everything you’ve brought to MDFSC, and we know you’re going to do amazing things! 🙌

This club truly has given me such a supportive and loving community on campus, and taking advantage of all the events and putting yourself out there to meet new people make a new friend has brought some of the best people into my life. Happy graduation week skating Terps!! 🎓🐢 It’s finally that time of the year for Senior Spotlights! 🥳🎉
❤️ Our first Senior is Mark! He graduating with a Computer Science major with a minor in Creative Writing.
💛 Mark’s favorite MSFSC memory is 2026 Spartan Classic, especially because of how funny and wild it was to see the zamboni’s battery dying and how it held back the competition for an hour and a half (and seeing it all unfold with the team!)
🖤 His advice for new skaters/freshmen is to “try to start your work as early as you can(though don’t beat yourself up too much if you can’t), and don’t stress if there are moments in the semester where you can’t skate as much as you want to.”
🤍 After graduating, Mark plans on getting a job or attending law school (or both!)
Congratulations Mark!!! 👏 Thank you for being such an integral part of this team, and we are going to miss you so much! 🫶
