Congratulations, Class of 2026! We’re so proud of the critical thinkers, collaborators, problem-solvers, and changemakers you’ve become.

This year, you launched catapults to explore projectile motion, composed original songs inspired by meaningful places on campus, showed powerful leadership and empathy for 3rd graders as a part of Meeting Partners, and shared your learning through creative Year-End Projects.

Thank you for being stewards of our community. We can’t wait to welcome you back on campus as alumni! 💙

This week our 3/4 students (“business partners”) held a pop-up market selling handmade products to classmates and FCS community members. This activity helped reinforce students' understanding of economic systems and management, along with collaboration and critical thinking skills — in addition to sparking creativity and joy!

Last week 6th grade students (and some FCS adults!) performed original poetry they wrote throughout the school year. We had an amazing showing from the FCS community to support these creative risk-takers as they showcased their learning!

At FCS, we empower students to become lifelong learners, courageous risk-takers, and joyous peacemakers. Each Wednesday, students from two different grade levels come together to explore Quaker values and build community. Through a supportive and dynamic learning environment, we help them grow into confident thinkers, heartfelt leaders, and inspired changemakers.

🖼️ 5/6 science teacher Bryan collaborated with author and former FCS teacher Meghana Narayan ( ) on a cross-curricular science and art lesson inviting students to explore their identities and interconnectedness while learning about the properties of visible light.

Each grade worked together to create a collaborative mobile using compact discs 💿 and gems 💎, symbolizing how each community member’s inner light strengthens the community as a whole.

We recently held our annual Community Picnic and Art Night, a schoolwide celebration of creativity and self-expression. 🎨 🖼️

This year’s collection featured individual art pieces created by each student in lower and middle school throughout the school year. Pieces include painting, collage, mixed-media, photography, fiber arts, and so much more! Each piece reflects the creativity, thoughtfulness, and spirit of the students who created it, and together these works beautifully capture so much of what makes FCS feel like FCS.

Earlier this month, the FCS After School Theatre's 4th - 8th graders put on a magical production of The Reluctant Dragon, by Randy Latimer and Gary Rue. This is a story about a peace-loving dragon and an unexpected friendship, with wit, music, and heart. The Reluctant Dragon reminds us not to judge others by appearances and that sometimes the most heroic thing you can do is be a friend. 🐉 🎭
