How will we be affected by the violent storms that are now occurring on the sun? Blackouts? Radiation? Radio failures? Please join us tomorrow, November 6, 2012 in the Biosciences Research Building room 1103 for an interactive lecture with Dr. Lathrop, Professor of Physics and Geology at the University of Maryland. Professor Lathrop will be discussing the complicated relationships between our star and our home planet… and us! We look forward to seeing you there!

Join us TONIGHT for our second lecture of the spring semester titled, "More Snow in Recent Winters... Global Warming, Fact or Fiction?" with Dr. Robert Hudson, Professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science.
Date: April 16, 2012
Time: 6pm - 7pm
Location: Bioscience Research Building room 1101
Why: There is a common belief that because the U.S. has received more snow in recent years, that the temperature in the winter months has become colder, not warmer as predicted. In this lecture we will examine the evidence and the arguments to determine if this claim against global warming is justified.

"The Future of Global Energy and Climate"
Please join us this coming Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 6pm in the Biosciences Research Building room 1101 with Dr. Goodman and Dr. Rolston for an interactive lecture regarding the the future of our world with regards to climate change!
