University of Maryland Autism Research Consortium-UMARC Improving the well-being of autistic people through research, training, and community partnerships.

The University of Maryland Autism Research Consortium (UMARC) is an interdisciplinary group of researchers in the Departments of Hearing and Speech Sciences, Psychology, Human Development, Linguistics, Kinesiology, and Special Education at the University of Maryland. Our goal is to advance the understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in children and adults, and to contribute to the development of effective treatments and interventions. Our research examines the social, cognitive, linguistic, and neural underpinnings of autism. If you are a parent of a child with autism or adult with autism, we would like to extend an invitation to you to participate in an interesting set of studies surrounding autism research.
• We each bring over 10 years of research experience.

The ADOS-2 is a critical tool for clinical professionals who assess and diagnose autism as part of their practice. To use the ADOS-2, you must complete a 2-day training with a WPS-certified instructor. With the University of Maryland’s virtual ADOS-2 training, you can learn what you need from your own home or office.

Our instructor is Rachel Hundley, the Director of the Learning Assessment Clinic at Vanderbilt University with over 15 years of experience as a psychologist.

When: December 9th and 11th, 2026
Where: Zoom Clinical Training
