This past weekend, the brothers of Beta Theta Pi hosted our first annual Beta Ball philanthropy event, bringing together sororities from across the University of Maryland for a flag football tournament on Fraternity Row. More importantly, Beta Ball gave us the opportunity to bring the Greek community together while supporting a meaningful cause.
All proceeds from Beta Ball benefit Leveling the Playing Field , a nonprofit that provides sports equipment to youth in under-resourced communities. Through sports, young people have the opportunity to build confidence, learn teamwork, develop leadership skills, and create experiences that extend far beyond the game.
A huge thank you to our philanthropy chair jacobkaplan_9 and to all of the sororities who participated and everyone who helped support such a meaningful cause. Congratulations to our Beta Ball champions 🏆, ALPHA DELTA PI on defeating ALPHA XI DELTA in the finals and to all other sororities who competed MARYLAND KAPPA DELTA Alpha Phi Maryland Alpha Epsilon Phi KAPPA ALPHA THETA Alpha Omicron Pi Delta Phi Epsilon TRI DELTA SIGMA DELTA TAU ZETA TAU ALPHA !
