The Maryland Business Adapts 21/22 initiative celebrates the adjustments that Maryland companies made during the pandemic, while providing insights for peers on topics like minimizing business risk of their global operations or preparation for sudden operational changes.
On June 3, five Maryland companies will be recognized for persevering through the ongoing pandemic at the 2nd Annual Maryland Business Adapts event. These companies found innovative ways to adapt and now they will share their discoveries with others.

James Clark School of Engineering wants to recognize individuals like you through the new Early Career Distinguished Alumni Society. Nominees and applicants must be 40 years old or younger and exemplify one or more of the following characteristics: leadership, innovation, service or entrepreneurship. **Intern for a Day is back to in-person job shadowing for fall 2021.**
Intern for a Day, through the University of Maryland University Career Center & The President's Promise, connects current undergraduate UMD students with alumni, parents, and employers for short-term job shadowing opportunities to explore potential career fields.
**To offer an in-person job shadowing experience, the host must be reporting to a physical office/workplace and not teleworking the day the student job shadows. At this time, we are only requesting hosts in Maryland, DC, & Virginia for in-person job shadowing.
In the host registration form, there is also an opportunity to express interest in connecting with students through virtual informational interviews. Open to professionals anywhere globally! More information will be shared after registration.
