Mission Statement:
MUN is established in order to encourage students in active civic engagement within the global community by exploring and debating world issues from the perspective of the world leaders of the international community. Additionally, MUN will help students to develop leadership skills within the international forum allowing members to experience and understand the world's countries and their interaction within the structure of the United Nations.

For our second conference of the Spring 2026 semester, UMDMUN attended VICS 30! We’d bet Charlottesville has never seen a delegation have this much fun before! After the dust settled, UMDMUN came away with a Best, Outstanding, Honorable, and two Verbals! Thank you for the time!

UMDMUN is starting off the new semester with a bang!! For our first conference of the Spring 2026 semester, UMDMUN attended HOPMUNC III, hosted in Washington DC! We felt the rain on our skin, and came away with a Best, Outstanding, Honorable, and four Verbals! To top it all off, we were also awarded Outstanding Delegation! Thank you for the experience!

For our final conference of the Fall 2025 semester, UMDMUN was off to the cradle of liberty! We attended UPMUNC 58 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, had a blast, and came home with a staggering 5 awards! Thank you for the great time!

We are excited to host Mr. Brad Gallagher, Managing Editor of the Secretary of State’s Daily Brief, as our second guest speaker of the semester! The event will be 6-7 pm on Thursday, December 4th in Tydings 0117.
Mr. Gallagher will discuss his experiences in US Diplomacy, counterterrorism and counternarcotics analysis, and field work in the War on Terror. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn from and discuss with a subject matter expert!

Combining our second and third conferences of the Fall 2025 semester into one exciting post! UMDMUN visits New Jersey and Washington, D.C.! Making this semester UMDMUN’s first time visiting RISC! Additionally, we visited NCSC and had a great time as always! Altogether, we had a blast and came home with three awards! Thank you, and .georgetown for these two amazing weekends!

Our first conference of the Fall 2025 semester takes UMDMUN to Blacksburg, Virginia! After a great experience at their inaugural conference last spring, we ran it back and competed in II! After a restful winter break, UMDMUN was back in action for our first conference of the semester earlier this month! We traveled to Blacksburg, VA for the inaugural conference ! We had a great time and came home with our first delegation award in 5 years! Thank you for a fantastic weekend, we look forward to attending next year!
