This year's Out of the Darkness Walk is just a few weeks away, and so far we've made some amazing progress. Last year we raised over $21,000 toward su***de prevention and had more than 500 walkers come support the cause, but this year we're determined to beat that record. Currently we've raised 75% of our $25,000 goal, and we can't thank our donors enough for their generosity. Students hold nation's largest college campus walk for su***de prevention The walk, the university’s third, grew significantly on the campus this year, becoming the largest campus walk out of 100 in the nation, area director Ryan Newcomb said.

It is that time of year again, when the brothers of Lambda Chi Alpha, hold our annual Watermelon Bust! Each year we host a fun event involving different campus organizations getting together and competing in watermelon based activities. However while this is all fun, the main cause of this event is to raise money for our national charity, Feeding America. Feeding America works with different organizations across the country in order to help raise funds and food for those who are not as fortunate and who may not know where their next meal is coming from. Each brother is seeking to raise a minimum goal of $100 dollars but we know that with the support of all of you we can easily surpass the goal. Please help me by going to the link below and donating. Here at the University of Maryland, we take great pride in serving the community, striving for academic excellence, and being the closest brotherhood not just in college, but a brotherhood that will last a lifetime. With this academic year coming to an end, another class of fine gentlemen will be moving on pursuing careers in the world.
