The staff of the University of Maryland Office of Student Financial Aid is eager to assist you

It is our vision that no academically qualified student should be denied access to educational opportunities at UMD due to a lack of funds. Therefore, as a financial aid office our primary objective is to assist students and families in planning for and meeting expenses associated with attending UMD. Our primary goal is to award need-based financial aid consisting of scholarships, grants, loans, and Federal work-study to eligible students. We endeavor to ease any stress or confusion that students encounter as they submit documentation, apply for financial aid and accept their award.
